This film proved to be a stepping stone in her career, and she started receiving offers from movies like Urban Legend and Cruel Intentions. American Pie was the cult film about teenagers who were sexually active, and Reid's role as Vicky became a favorite in Hollywood. It was not the most successful Hollywood life. Reid did not make it huge in Hollywood by appearing in films such as Josie and the Pussycats. A brief cameo in American Pie 2 did nothing help her resurrect her career. Reid is known for her celebrity lifestyle as well as a designer rather than an actual actor. Her off-screen gaffes and publicized cosmetic surgery has led her to be a less-than-famous actress.
