Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B with a distinctive mix. The singer's career has taken her from Broadway to European events and clubs, and even to at the Democratic National Convention. Her real name is Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was the first to begin pursuing an interest in music, singing and playing the piano at the church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music on the city's R&B scene. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls show during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained attention in the performances that took place over four days in 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing during the 2009 Obama Inauguration.
